Il lavoro muove da un’amara evidenza politica: il fallimento speculare delle risposte governative globali di fronte alle migrazioni contemporanee. In questo vuoto, la geopoetica denuncia la metamorfosi violenta del Mediterraneo: lo spazio che per millenni è stato grembo di scambi e civiltà è oggi un tragico archivio di naufragi. Il pamphlet si unisce al coro di voci che raccontano come il Mare Nostrum di memoria braudeliana si sia fatto frontiera liquida, un muro invisibile che spoglia l’Altro del volto e della dignità, degradandolo a carico residuo. Da spazio di relazione a Mare Monstrum, non-luogo in cui l’ospitalità cede il passo all’ostilità. Eppure, nel cuore di questa oscurità, la geopoetica si fa prassi civile per esigere il diritto dei senza diritti.
This work stems from a bitter political reality: the mirror failure of global governance in the face of contemporary migration. In this vacuum, geopoetics denounces the violent metamorphosis of the Mediterranean: a space that for millennia served as a cradle of exchange and civilization, but today stands as a tragic archive of shipwrecks. This pamphlet joins the chorus of voices recounting how the Mare Nostrum of Braudelian memory has turned into a liquid frontier, an invisible wall that strips the Other of face and dignity, degrading them to residual cargo. From a space of relation to Mare Monstrum, a non-place where hospitality gives way to hostility. Yet, at the very heart of this darkness, geopoetics becomes civil praxis to demand the right of the rightless.
